What is an Electronic Spreadsheet?
An Electronic Spreadsheet is a software application used to store, organize, calculate and analyse data in tabular form.
LibreOffice Calc is the spreadsheet software included in the LibreOffice suite.

Components of LibreOffice Calc

Rows, Columns and Cells
| Term | Description |

| Row | Horizontal arrangement identified by numbers (1,2,3...). |
| Column | Vertical arrangement identified by letters (A,B,C...). |
| Cell | Intersection of a row and a column. |
| Active Cell | The selected cell where data is entered. |
Cell Address
Every cell has a unique address called a Cell Reference.

Cell Reference = Column Letter + Row Number
Steps to Create a Spreadsheet
- Open LibreOffice Calc.
- Select Blank Spreadsheet.
- Click the desired cell.
- Type the required data.
- Press Enter.
- Continue entering data.
- Click File → Save.
- Provide a suitable filename.
- Click Save.
